Hum Aawaz is a non-profit NGO established on June 14th, 1999, with a steadfast commitment to supporting underprivileged children. Over the past 19 years, we have dedicated ourselves to enhancing the lives of these children by providing more than just free education. While the government offers them academic opportunities, our focus extends to offering crucial guidance in areas such as life skills, self-discipline, personality development, and emphasizing the importance of education.
Our mission primarily revolves around the 70 children residing in the slums of Goregaon and Malad, where their parents, predominantly laborers, struggle to meet their basic needs on a meager monthly income ranging from 4000 to 5000. This financial hardship exposes the children to various life challenges, including medical issues, lack of nutrition support, inadequate basic needs, health and hygiene concerns, child abuse, and drug addiction, especially prevalent in the slum environment.
